Orpierre the largest equipped climbing site in the Buech Valley is only two minutes drive away. Offering climbs from grade 3 to 8c there is something for every one. Climbing instruction is also available in Orpierre.Other crags in the Buech Valley can be found at Ceuze, Agnielles, Saint Julien en Beauchene, Savournon, Sigottier and more can be found in local guide books. There is also an extensive range of Via Ferrata in the area.

With the Charbre north take off visable from the bungalow, it's the ideal place to Paraglide or Handglide. The top drivable site at Laragne offers endless flights with the Valley averaging 300 days sun a year. Slightly further afield is St Vincent on the south end of lake Serre Poncon, a site that is flyable when the minstral winds are blowing. St Andre is also within 1 hour's drive.

Domaine de Germanette in Serres 7 miles north of the Bungalow is a great watersports facility with three lakes one with supervised swimming the second with hire of windsurfs, pedalo boats, surfbikes and electric boats. The third lake is a 2 hector fly fishing lake with fishing school. A more modest watersports facility Plan D'eau De Reo is less than 2 miles from Eyguians with fishing, swimming, windsurfing and other hire facilities. 40 minute's drive north to lake Serre Poncon and you can do or find almost any watersport you could want. There is a couple of waterski and wakeboard centers, several windsurf, kitesurfing and sailing courses on offer. Motorised boat hire, rubbering ride's, catamaran and canoe hire can also be found.

The Buech Valley has endless walks on offer for all capabilitie's. Straight from the door step you can find walks around the neighbouring fruit farms and woodlands. To take full advantage of the area a guide book and map are a must.

A 40 minute drive north will take you to the lovely french resort of Superdevoluy. This a great resort to get away from the usual crowded slopes of other more well known resorts, and best of all it's a family favorite for the french so on a powder day you can find fresh tracks all day long. There is also a snow park for those who want to practice there freestyle. Other nearby resorts include Chillon 1600 and Laye then a hour further and you will find Les Orres and Risoul.

The bungalow is situated within 5km of the famous Route Napoleon and the D1075
"the best Motorcycle road in Europe" both north and south from Eyguians. The french motorist's are motorcycle aware which makes motorcycling a more pleasurable experiance than in the UK. In addition a large number of D roads are accessible from the bungalow giving breathtaking ride's, beautiful gorges and numerous mountain passes.

The BuechValley has endless Mountain Bike route's available with great route map's from the local tourist office only costing 3 Euro's with route's from 3km suitable for the whole family to long cross country route's and serious down hill track's.

The Buech Valley is a fishing paradise. Fly fishing, cast fishing with natural or artificial bait. There are some exceptional site's, a fish reserve in Aspres-sur-Buech, fish reserve and fishing all year round in la Germanette in Serres, pond's in Monetier-Allemont, Veynes and many, many more.

The Buech Valley has many equestrian farms offering an alternative way to see some of the valley. More information available from tourist office.

The numerous wild brooks and small rivers found throught the Valley offer a refreshing break to any hiker or biker etc during the hot summer day's. One of the most pleasant places is the canyon of the meouge with many natural pools and tiny shady beaches.
